HWiNFO Plugin

Disclaimer

This plugin is created and provided by ModBros, with no official affiliation to HWiNFO.

The HWiNFO plugin for MoBro allows you to pull high-detail hardware metrics (like per-core temperatures or specific controller data) directly from HWiNFO via shared memory.

Requirements
  • HWiNFO must be installed and running on your system.
  • Shared Memory Support must be enabled in HWiNFO.
  • The HWiNFO Plugin must be installed in MoBro.

To ensure MoBro can always access the data without manual intervention, configure these settings in HWiNFO:

  1. Open HWiNFO Settings.
  2. Enable Auto Start (to run on Windows boot).
  3. Enable Show Sensors on Startup and Minimize Sensors on Startup.
  4. Ensure Shared Memory Support is enabled.

HWiNFO Settings

The 12-Hour Limit (Free Version)

Starting with HWiNFO v7.00, the Free version includes a limitation on the "Shared Memory" feature.

Shared Memory is automatically disabled after 12 hours of continuous operation.
As MoBro relies on the shared memory feature to pull metric data from HWiNFO, this limitation means you can only use it for up to 12 hours per day. Once the limit is reached:

  1. MoBro will stop receiving data from HWiNFO.
  2. Metrics in your dashboard will appear frozen or blank.
  3. You must manually re-enable the "Shared Memory Support" in HWiNFO to resume.

How to get unlimited usage?

If the 12-hour daily limit isn’t enough for your needs, we recommend purchasing a Pro License, which provides unlimited shared memory usage and also supports the HWiNFO team for their exceptional work.

Troubleshooting

Metrics are missing in MoBro

If HWiNFO is running but you don't see the metrics:

  1. Verify that Shared Memory Support is still active in HWiNFO.
  2. Check the Plugins tab in MoBro to ensure the HWiNFO plugin is "Running".
  3. Restart MoBro after HWiNFO has fully loaded its sensors.
